Instant Win Reveals is here. Our new WordPress scratch card addon gives customers a hands-on way to uncover their instant ticket results after entering a competition. It is available now as a separate raffleWP addon and is included with every raffleWP licence.
Switch it on for a competition and eligible new purchases receive a scratch card for each ticket. Customers can scratch away the cover, reveal a ticket with a button, or reveal all their tickets together. You choose where to use it and how the cards look.
A scratch card for every eligible ticket
The reveal experience appears on the order confirmation and order details pages. Cards are grouped by competition, so an order containing entries for several draws stays easy to follow. Each card relates to an individual ticket and reveals its instant result.
For customers buying several entries, Reveal all provides a quick route through their results. Large orders are displayed in manageable batches, with a summary of revealed instant wins. Customers can return through their order or My Entries links, and their saved reveal progress follows the order across devices.
Built around customer choice
Some people will want to scratch every card. Others will want to check their results straight away. Instant Win Reveals supports both:
- Mouse and touch scratching for an interactive reveal.
- A keyboard-operated “Reveal this ticket” button for each card.
- Reveal all for customers who prefer to see their results together.
- Saved progress when customers refresh the page or return later.
Ordinary ticket and prize information remains available beneath the cards. If the scratch experience cannot load, customers can still use those details to check their entries and awards.
Match the cards to your competition site
The addon inherits raffleWP’s colours, typography and rounded corners. You can also set a scratch-cover colour, choose cover artwork and edit the cover wording for each competition. An administrator preview lets you check the card before customers see it.
Scratch-card reveals are optional and start switched off. Enable them on the competitions where you want the experience. They apply to new orders placed after enablement; existing orders keep their original presentation.
Prize results stay with raffleWP
Core raffleWP continues to determine ticket outcomes and process instant prizes. Scratching simply uncovers that information. It does not change the odds, allocate another ticket or award a prize twice.
Winner emails and automatic site credit continue through the existing prize process. Customers never have to scratch a card to claim or receive a prize. Cash, vouchers and physical prizes continue through their configured fulfilment process.
If payment or prize processing is unfinished, the result remains pending. A ticket without an instant win is labelled specifically as an instant result, with its current main-draw status shown separately. That keeps an unsuccessful instant reveal distinct from the outcome of the main competition.
How to get Instant Win Reveals
- Update raffleWP core to 1.4.0 or later. We recommend the latest release, 1.4.1, which also tidies the raffle product settings.
- With an active licence, download Instant Win Reveals from My licences.
- Upload the addon through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in WordPress, then activate it.
- Edit a competition and tick Enable scratch-card reveals in its raffle product options.
- Customise the cover, preview the card and save your competition.
The addon requires WooCommerce and uses the licence already entered in core. It has its own download and update notices, so updating raffleWP does not install it automatically. Instant Win Reveals launches at version 1.0.0, with scratch cards as its reveal style.
