raffleWP – Prize Draw Reminders adds an opt-in “Remind me before the draw” trigger to eligible RaffleWP competition product pages. A visitor submits an email address for one competition and receives a WooCommerce-styled reminder about two hours before its configured closing time.
Set up and test reminders
- Install and activate the add-on, then open RaffleWP → Prize reminders. No separate add-on key is required.
- Use a published, open RaffleWP product with a valid future closing time. The opt-in is unavailable once the competition is already inside its two-hour reminder window.
- Submit a test address from the product page and confirm the request appears in the administrator table.
- Verify WordPress cron and
wp_mail()or the configured SMTP service. The add-on schedules and attempts the message; the mail provider controls final delivery. - Review the reminder status, due time, attempt count and whether the visitor later placed an order after returning.
Privacy and operations
- Each subscription is tied to one competition and is intended for one closing reminder, not a general mailing list.
- The add-on integrates with WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools.
- Caching must not remove the reminder trigger or prevent its form request, and scheduled tasks need a reliable cron runner on low-traffic sites.
Run a real delivery test to an external mailbox. An administrator status or send attempt is not proof that the reminder reached the inbox.
