Settings can enable customer ticket confirmations, instant-win notices, main-winner notices, site-credit notices and ending-soon reminders, plus an administrator instant-win notice. Email from name changes the sender name used by RaffleWP mail.
- Ending-soon reminders use the configured hours-before-close window and are checked by the hourly task.
- The hourly task also releases stale ticket reservations. Ending a raffle never queues or runs a draw automatically.
- Routine log retention defaults to twelve months; older permanent audit events keep their operational facts while personal fields are anonymised.
- Licence revalidation runs daily when a real licence key is active.
- RaffleWP records email attempts in its audit system.
WordPress wp_mail(), your SMTP or transactional-mail provider, DNS records and receiving mail servers control final delivery. A recorded send attempt is not proof of inbox delivery.
Test ticket and winner emails before launch
The dashboard’s Launch checklist can send clearly labelled sample emails to an administrator-selected address. Test messages never allocate tickets, issue credit or create prize claims. Confirm inbox receipt yourself; mail acceptance alone is not delivery verification.
Claim invitations and fulfilment notifications
Automatic prize claim invitations are opt-in per competition. Invite an existing pending winner from Prize Awards, or resend a link when needed. Resending rotates the access token; links expire after seven days. Explicit claim-email failures receive up to three scheduled retries, with outcomes recorded. Invalid or missing email details require administrator attention.
Claims still awaiting details after 14 days are flagged for review. Link expiry does not cancel a prize. The claims and fulfilment guide explains dispatch notifications and receipt confirmation.
Check successful maintenance runs
The Launch checklist checks when scheduled maintenance last completed successfully, including retention. A scheduled event alone does not prove the task is healthy. Investigate stale checks before launch.
