RaffleWP sends activation, deactivation and status requests over HTTPS to rafflewp.co.uk. The request includes the key, site URL, plugin version and configured product identity.
- A successful activation is bound to the saved licence key and site and its state is stored locally.
- A daily WordPress scheduled event revalidates a real active key.
- After a legitimate activation, a temporary server, DNS or network outage does not disable the live raffle runtime.
- New activations, update checks and update downloads still require a reachable valid licence service.
- Each new licence is valid for 12 months from issue. The administrator receives a warning during the final 30 days.
- Ordinary annual expiry retains the already activated live runtime but ends updates, downloads, new activations, support and configuration-settings access.
- Renewal is manual and does not charge the customer automatically. A new purchase issues a new key, which replaces the old key under RaffleWP → Licence.
- An explicit refund, revocation, customer deactivation or administrator disablement remains authoritative and can lock licensed functionality.
Offline runtime protects an already activated customer site from temporary infrastructure failure. Ordinary annual expiry also retains that installed runtime, but it does not bypass a known revocation, refund or deliberate deactivation.
